When your hands are occupied, you can open or close the tailgate with a single foot movement under the car's rear bumper.

Open or close the tailgate as follows:
Make one slow forward kicking motion under the left-hand section of the rear bumper. Then take a step back. No need to touch the bumper.
A short acoustic signal can be heard when opening/closing is activated - the tailgate is opened/closed.
If the tailgate is open then it is always closed on activation via foot movement.
The tailgate can also be closed via the button on the instrument panel, the remote control key or the button(s)Only applies to cars equipped with keyless locking/unlocking (Passive Entry). under the tailgate.
If several kicking motions take place without an approved remote control key within range of the system, opening will not be possible again until after a certain delay.
Do not leave your foot positioned under the car, this could cause activation to fail.

Make one slow forward kicking motion when opening/closing is in progress in order to stop the movement of the tailgate.
The remote control key does not have to be in the vicinity of the car to cancel opening/closing.
Pay attention to the possibility that opening/closing of the tailgate may be activated in a car wash or similar if the remote control key is in range of the system (approx. 1 metre from the detector).
For the function to work optimally, keep the rear bumper clean of ice, snow, dirt or similar.
If the car is equipped with the Skid plate/Diffuser accessory, then the detector is located out towards the left-hand corner of the bumper.
