Local Search is an app which helps you to find e.g. restaurants, hotels, petrol stations and lots more by searching online from your Internet-connected Volvo (Local Search is only available for cars equipped with Sensus Navigation).
Local Search is a free service. You do not need to register in order to access the online database which includes maps and places. Please note that cost of data may be added depending on data plan. For more information, contact your SIM card provider.
Local Search can be used while you drive. It is recommended that you use the steering wheel controls in order to use the service as safely as possible while you drive.
Below are descriptions of a few examples of problems linked with the use of Local Search. If you still have problems, contact your Volvo dealer.
If you experience problems with Local Search, make sure you have an Internet connection and good signal strength. Available selection of apps may vary depending on the market and on whether the services are supported by Volvo's third party suppliers. One or more apps may not be available on the market in which the car is sold or used.
If you cannot find the place you are looking for, the place is probably not included in the online database. The database is updated regularly with new locations, so hopefully the place you are looking for will soon be added.
