Finding the car's VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)

When you contact a Volvo dealer for a Volvo On Call subscription, for example, you need to specify the car's vehicle identification number VIN (Vehicle Identification Number).

Finding the car's VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)

The VIN is the car's unique identification number. You can find the VIN by means of one of the following options:

The dashboard

Look on the dashboard through the car's windscreen.

Cars with 12" Sensus touch screen

You can find the VIN in the car's centre display:

Select Settings in the top view.

Scroll to My Car (or press on MY CAR in the centre console).

In the Volvo On Call app

Only applies to markets where Volvo On Call is available.

You can find the VIN in the Volvo On Call app in the following ways:

Tap on the Menu button top left in the app.

Select Settings.

Select Technical information.

Read under VIN.

In the service and warranty booklet or the registration document

The VIN can also be found on the first page of the service and warranty booklet or in the car's registration document.
