It is sometimes appropriate to switch from connection via a personal SIM card to use of your mobile phone as the Internet connection for your car, e.g. when you are driving in a different country. This article applies to cars equipped with Sensus Connect and Volvo On Call.
To switch connection from your personal SIM card to your mobile phone (Bluetooth® or Wi-Fi), see the video tutorial or follow the instructions below.
On the centre console: Press MY CAR and then select OK/MENU.
In the Sensus Connect menu: Select
Settings and then Internet settings.
In the Sensus Connect menu: Select Connect through and then Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
The car will now switch the Internet connection from your SIM card to your phone.
This procedure can also be executed the other way around (i.e. from phone to SIM card). To do so, select Car modem instead of Bluetooth or Wi-Fi under Connect through.
