Voice recognition control of Sensus Navigation

If your car is equipped with Sensus Navigation, you can use voice recognition control to activate navigation commands.

Start navigation

To start a navigation dialogue, use the voice command "Navigation". Examples of commands you can use for navigation are then also shown. You can pause and resume navigation using the commands "Pause guidance" and "Resume guidance". To deactivate voice guidance, use "Turn off voice guidance". To resume voice guidance, use "Turn on voice guidance".

To activate a command

Press and hold the steering wheel button for voice recognition .

Say the command for the function you want to activate.

Common commands/phrases

  • "Take me home" - Guidance is given to the Home position. (Home is programmed with the Set home address function in the top menu option Favourites).
  • "Go to[City]" - Sets a city as the destination, e.g. "Drive to Gothenburg".
  • "Go to[Address]" - Sets an address as the destination, e.g. "Drive to Kungsgatan 5, Gothenburg".
  • "Go to[Person's name]" - Sets an address from the phone book as the destination, e.g. "Drive to Robyn Smith".
  • "Set [country]/[state]" - Sets a search area for navigation.
  • "Set[junction]" - Sets a junction as destination.
  • "Show favourites" - Shows favourited positions in the driver display.
  • "Clear itinerary" - Clears all stored intermediate destinations and the final destination in an itinerary.
  • "Repeat voice guidance" - Repeats the last voice guidance given.

Numeric commands are entered differently depending on the function to be controlled:

  1. Telephone numbers and post codes must be stated individually digit by digit, e.g. zero three one two two four four three (03122443).
  2. House numbers can be stated individually or in groups, e.g. two two or twenty two (22). It is also possible to specify hundreds, e.g. 19 hundred and 22 (1922). For English and Dutch several groups can be said in sequence, e.g. twenty two twenty two (22 22). For English, double or triple can also be used, e.g. double zero (00). Numbers can be given between 0-2300.

The following commands are always possible regardless of the situation

  • "Repeat" - repeats the last voice instruction.
  • "Cancel" – terminates the dialogue.
  • "Help" – starts a help dialogue. The system responds with commands that can be used in the current situation, a request or an example.
