Volvo On Call app: Manage driving journal

The Volvo On Call app automatically creates a drive log which allows you to view a summary of your car journeys. This article describes how to manage the driving journal. E.g. how to group journeys, disable the driving journal or export a journey.

Activate or deactivate driving journal

The drive log can be enabled/disabled from your Volvo On Call app, see instructions below.

Instructions

Login to your Volvo On Call app and select "Settings".

Under "My Volvo" select "Driving journal".

Enable/disable your driving journal.

When your driving journal is enabled, all users linked to your account can see the journeys made with your Volvo. Journeys over the last 40 days are saved. If the driving journal is disabled, your Volvo stops sending information on your journeys. However, data from completed journeys are saved for 100 days. None of the phones connected to your account will be able to see new entries in the journal log.

Note that existing journeys will not be deleted if the driving journal is disabled.

Export driving journal

It is possible to transfer the data from the driving journal to other formats. This function can be used to create business expense reports, for example.

Instructions

Log in to your Volvo On Call app and select "Driving journal".

Highlight the journey(s) you want to export.

Press the e-mail symbol.

You now have the option of sending the journal log as an Excel file, CSV file or text file. The file can be opened on the computer using software such as Microsoft Excel, Apple Numbers, Google Docs or OpenOffice.org Calc.

Categorise journeys

In the view with driving journal it is possible to categorise your journeys in accordance with Work, Private or Uncategorised. Trips can be filtered according to categories, and you can also choose which trips are to be displayed depending on the time range.

Delete journey from driving journal

Instructions

Log in to your Volvo On Call app and select "Driving journal".

Highlight the journey(s) you want to delete.

Select the waste bin symbol at the bottom of the view and press "Delete".

If you have several accounts linked to a car, all will see the same view from the Volvo On Call data server. This means that if you delete a journey, change names or group journeys on a phone, these changes will take effect for all users for whom the information is displayed.

Name journeys

You can give your journeys names and add notes to them, see instructions below.

Instructions

Log in to your Volvo On Call app and select "Driving journal".

Select the journey you want to edit.

Tap on "Title" and name your journey.

Tap on "Note" if you want to add information (e.g. how much you paid when you refuelled).
