Standby mode

To save the battery when the car is not used for any length of time, the Volvo On Call system has been adjusted to be set to standby mode (Stand by). Below is a list of what happens when the car is not used for X days.

Days since the engine was switched off

Event

1-5 (1-3 for cars without Sensus Connect)

The system is always available and executes new commands immediately.

6-22 (4-14 for cars without Sensus Connect)

The system wakes up every hour to check for new commands and execute these.

Later

The system switches to standby mode and no mobile app functions (e.g. remote engine heater start, and remote lock and remote unlock) requiring communication with the car are available. Starting the car reactivates the system and you can access the services again.
