Local Search is an app which helps you to find e.g. restaurants, hotels, petrol stations and lots more by searching online from your Internet-connected Volvo (Local Search is only available for cars equipped with Sensus Connect or Sensus Navigation).
Local Search is a free service. You do not need to register in order to access the online database which includes maps and places. Please note that cost of data may be added depending on data plan. For more information, contact your SIM card provider.
Local Search is connected to an online database, available at www.here.com. This means that the database is updated frequently and increases the chances of you finding exactly the place you are looking for. User ratings and guides also make it easier to find the best places.
Local Search can be used while you drive. It is recommended that you use the steering wheel controls in order to use the service as safely as possible while you drive.
Below are several tips you can try if you have problems with Local Search. If you find that these do not help, contact your Volvo dealer.
If you experience problems with Local Search, make sure you have an Internet connection and good signal strength. If you cannot find the place you are looking for, the place is probably not yet included in the online database. The database is updated frequently so there is a good chance that the place you are looking for will appear in an update.
