You have to create a Volvo ID and then register it to your car to be able to access all connected services. This article describes how to create and register a Volvo ID to your car.
To create a Volvo ID, you must register an e-mail address and follow the instructions in the confirmation message sent to you. The following methods are available to create a Volvo ID:
Only applies to VOC markets.
Applies to My Volvo markets only.

To ensure the security of your Volvo ID, there are a number of requirements which need to be met when creating a Volvo ID, see the information below.
On the centre console: Press the connection button twice and select Apps.
In the Sensus Connect menu: Select Settings and press OK/MENU.
In the Sensus Connect menu: Select Volvo ID and enter your e-mail address under register Volvo ID. For problems with entering special characters, see Character wheel and keyboard.
You will receive an e-mail with instructions to help you complete the process.

This instruction is only applicable for cars equipped with Volvo On Call.

Select Create a Volvo ID from the homepage and follow the instructions.
When creating a Volvo ID via the Volvo On Call app you also need to register the e-mail address in the car to gain access to a range of Internet-connected functions.
These instructions only apply to My Volvo markets.
Go to your market on volvocars.com or enter 'My Volvo' in any search engine.
Go to the start page for My Volvo.
Select Get Volvo ID.
Enter your e-mail address and follow the instructions.
When creating a Volvo ID via My Volvo, you also need to register the e-mail address in the car to gain access to a range of Internet-connected functions.
To register your Volvo ID in your car and access Internet-connected features, follow the instructions below.
Create a Volvo ID as described in the instructions above (if you do not have a Volvo ID already).
Ensure that your car is connected to the Internet. For more information, see Connect to the Internet via mobile phone (Bluetooth), Connect to the Internet via a personal SIM card (Volvo On Call) or Connect to the Internet via mobile phone (Wi-Fi).
In the Sensus Connect menu: Select Settings and then Volvo ID.
In the Sensus Connect menu: Enter your e-mail address under Register Volvo ID. If you have problems with entering special characters, see Character wheel and keyboard.
You will receive a confirmation e-mail in order to complete the registration.
If you have problems with Volvo ID in your connected car, make sure you have completed all steps in the account setup process as described in the instructions above. You can also check the status of your Volvo ID in your car:
The status of your Volvo ID will be shown in the display. If setup has been successful, your Volvo ID will be displayed as registered.
If your Volvo ID is awaiting activation or if your Volvo ID is not shown, see the paragraph 'Register Volvo ID in your connected car' above or contact your local Volvo dealer or Volvo Cars customer service.
If you sell your Volvo and it is equipped with Sensus Connect, you should delete all personal data from the car and restore it to factory settings. See Delete user data from your Volvo for details.
