Håkan Samuelsson started his professional career in 1977 at Scania, where he stayed for more than 20 years. Mr Samuelsson held leading positions within Scania’s technical division before he joined the executive board in 1996. He brought his vast truck experience from Scania to MAN in 2000, when he became head of MAN Nutzfahrzeuge, a subsidiary of MAN AG. When he became CEO of MAN in 2005, he initiated a broad restructuring of the group that resulted in an enhanced and more efficient organisation with a more focused product portfolio. Klas’ professional business career began at ABB and has included both line and management consultant positions in a global business environment. Klas has undertaken business transformation and IT improvement positions where leadership, business acumen and strategy have been key enablers for operational and strategic success. As a part of his professional engagements, Klas has lived in Taiwan, New Zealand and Norway.
Klas joined Volvo Car Group in 2010 as CIO.
