Visit Volvo Cars

The Volvo Cars Visitor Centre is located in the very heart of Volvo Cars in Torslanda, Gothenburg. We aim to give you a unique insight into one of Sweden’s most important industries.

Here you can book a whole range of different activities – including a tour of our factory, driving the latest Volvo cars and a guided visit of our Brand Experience Centre where you can learn about our vision in areas such as connectivity, safety, design and the environment. We’ll design the day around you and your wishes.

The Blue Train: our factory tours

Take a ride on the Blue Train through the Volvo Cars plant at Torslanda and get a behind-the-scenes view of our production line. We welcome 30,000 visitors a year on to our Blue Train, where your guide will take you through the production process, from rolls of sheet metal to finished cars.

Experience first-hand how a Volvo car is built on the Blue Train. Tours are available to companies, organisations and schools, as well as the general public. Each tour can take up to 30 guests, although arrangements can be made for larger parties. The tours last around one hour, with varying routes depending on maintenance or development work being carried out in the plant. Photography and the use of mobile phones is prohibited. Tours are available in Swedish, English and Mandarin, Monday to Friday, and must be booked in advance.

Brand Experience Centre

Volvo Cars is all about people. That’s why we’ve created our Brand Experience Centre, where you can feel what makes each Volvo truly a Volvo. Come and find out how we innovate to make your life better and less complicated, and how we’re taking every step to protect you and your world – for instance by making a commitment that no-one should be killed or seriously injured in a new Volvo car by 2020.

Our Brand Experience Centre welcomes companies, organisations and schools to a guided tour around our exhibitions focusing on design, safety, environment and connected cars. Each tour takes 1.5 hours and accommodates a group of up to 50 guests. Tours are available in both Swedish and English, Monday to Friday. We also have conference rooms and an auditorium which you can use as an inspiring meeting venue, with catering arranged on request.
