Adaptive cruising
Adaptive Cruise Control makes sure your car keeps the distance to the car in front. It makes driving a lot more relaxing especially in slow moving city traffic.

360° camera
Get a bird’s-eye view of your car, so you can see obstacles at any angle. It makes parking and manoeuvring in tight spaces a breeze.

Active high beam
Imagine not having to switch between low and high beam at night. Active High Beam automatically senses other vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists and temporarily dims your beam.

Park assist pilot
Let us take over the parking for you. Activate Park Assist Pilot, pull up to your space, and let go of the wheel. The car steers itself and lets you know when to brake.

Blind spot information
Change lanes knowing you have total awareness of the cars around you with radar sensors that alert you.

Keeping in lane
If your car starts to veer out of its lane, our Lane Keeping Aid kicks in, gently steering you back and sending warning vibrations to keep you alert.
CITY SAFETY
Keeping you in command in the city
City Safety lends a hand when traffic comes to a sudden halt, preparing the brakes for a quicker response or automatically braking if there is no time to respond.

Protecting pedestrians
Pedestrian detection functionality detects people walking outside your vehicle to help you avoid accidents. It even brakes for you should the situation require it.

Protecting cyclists
If a cyclist swerves in front of your car, our cyclist detection will warn you with a light on your windscreen and brake for you if quick action is necessary.

Forward collision warning
Forward Collision Warning scans all objects within 150 meters in front of your car and if an accident is imminent, it warns you and pre-charges the brakes for a quick stop.

Unexpected things happen on the road, so we’ve created features to keep you as safe as possible, should an impact occur.

Pedestrian airbag
The Pedestrian Airbag—a Volvo-first technology—automatically releases to cover the windscreen and lessen the impact. Because a safe car should protect those inside and outside the vehicle.

Seat belts
We invented the three-point seatbelt in 1959, and it’s still the best safety feature we have. Now, our seatbelts automatically tighten within a few thousandths of a second after a collision.

Stronger construction
Made of super-strong boron steel and lighter steels, our safety cages hold strong during an accident, while allowing the energy to disperse to help keep you safe.
